November, 2009. As the city prepares to welcome the world to Vancouver for 2010, the fashion world prepares to welcome a cutting edge concept studio and salon to Broadway and Granville. Paring the talents of three unique individuals with international experience, Zhusmade Studio is where the merging of fashion, style, makeup, hair and photography come together. Working in major cities such as Montreal, Toronto, L.A. New York, Shanghai, Hong Kong, and Japan, the Zhusmade Studio artists have brought their talents to back to Vancouver A new concept space and boutique that is unique, original, and truly inspiring.
In the making: Zhusmade Studio
Creative director, founder of clothing store Show Attitude, and international photographer Simon Chu wanted to “establish a space in the market where creators from various fields could gather together and encounter each other in an ongoing atmosphere of beautiful chaos.” He proudly explains, “Zhusmade Studio is where a team of diverse kindred souls share a strong personal vision of beauty.” He goes beyond just a guy with a camera and lights. Simon is a master of light, and is able to catch each individual and their strong character. He has photographed numerous faces, and his lens has captured everyone from blushing brides, to top models, independent musicians, private clients, as well as aspiring actors. With well over a decade experience, he is not a stranger to the beauty world.

To round out the talented team at Zhusmade Studio Susana Kam and Glamma represent the top aspects of beauty. From fashion, to commercial, street to high fashion this duo is has flair. Having worked with celebrities such as Kirstie Ally, Rita Moreno, Hillary Duff, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Lukas Rossi, and Canadian Idol top 16 Oliver Pigott, to some of Ford’s models they feel that each individual is their own star. They are able to understand the importance of creating an image that is as distinctive and special as each individual they encounter.
